global vinyl

Hey there everyone,
I am officially stealing space on my sister's blog today -- she actually let's me do this once in a while.  I know that she is out Christmas shopping today (i talked to her son on the phone), so I thought it would be a great time to share something with you.

Did you know that CutYourWay vinyl has gone completely global????

That is right!! It's made it's way all the way across oceans to the Caribbean, the Domincan Republic, the Bahamas, Flordia and, most recently, all the way to Hawaii.

I have been priviledged enough to create with the CutYourWay vinyl for the past 4 years, and have added it to many of the instructing kits that I have designed.  I recently put vinyl into the hands of 100 Crop and Cruise scrappers in Hawaii in November.  Yes........many lucky scrapbookers across Canada, the United States and the world are getting their hands on CutYourWay vinyl designs.

It's time you do too!!!

Here are a few of the recent layouts that I used vinyl on when teaching in Hawaii this past November:

And here's some cute little coasters created from clear acrylic, black vinyl designs & some craft paint.....Hawaiian-style:

So, these are just a few ways that you can use this fabulous product from CutYourWay.  Help me "welcome" Laura Lee to the scrapbooking industry as she starts this new adventure.

Come back soon to see her Christmas designs......yummy!!!!  And I bet there'll be some original designs up her sleeve real soon.

a huge fan,

Aloha Hawaii ...

Welcome to Cut Your Way !!

To those of you who are new to this blog, welcome here.  If you were in Hawaii with Crop and Cruise (and my sister Jill) you likely have received some of my vinyl... I truely hope you liked it!   I am in the midst of updating this blog with a BUNDLE of new designs, in some fantastic colors.  If you like what you see, and would like to order something, please drop me an email at blackhawkangus@xplornet.ca

To those of you who have been to this blog before, and are thinking "wow, she IS still alive" - I would like to say Thanks for coming back!  I am hoping to boost this business to the next level, which includes some amazing new designs in some very exciting colors.  My vinyl designs are created specifically with the scrapbookers and crafters in mind - however there isn't much that I WON'T put vinyl on.  With that in mind, I will be updating this blog very soon with new layouts, etc using vinyl.  If you are wanting to order, or have something specific you would like, please drop me an email at blackhawkangus@xplornet.ca
(or if you are interested in Purebred Registered Black Angus bulls and heifers for sale!!).

To all you in Hawaii - I hope you are having a great time!!

**smiles to Jill and Mom!!

...You put vinyl on it!!!

Question: What do you do when you are tired of your bathroom "look", but aren't ready for a total make-over?
Answer: You put VINYL on it!

... So that's what I did! Just like I did in my kitchen this past summer, I "jazzed" up my bathroom with a bit of fun vinyl. I choose the olive color to compliment my "lovely" backsplash, and added black as well. I really like the finished product, and I like my bathroom again too (added bonus). It was so easy to put on, and I've washed that part of the wall a few times already, and they are sticking well. Now, when I brush my teeth, I can't help but SMILE!!

You gotta love vinyl!

This is a picture of the barn that I "pimped out" for Tanner this fall. He LOVED the John Deere on it!
This was another "Tanner project". For Grade 4 Science they had to make Structures. Tanner, of course, chose the Paterson grain elevator in Crystal City (my future farmer!). So, together we designed the base of the elevator, and added bins, etc. I suggested we should put the Paterson logo on the elevator, and Tanner said "Mom, can we do it in vinyl?" To which I replied "Yes!". I think it turned out pretty cool... and Tanner got a great mark for his efforts!

(Take note of the tiny lettering on the trucks; Wawanesa Belmont Transfer and TAKLE Farms - Tanner Adam Kevin Laura Lee Emma).

So, think of new ways to change and re-vamp old things - to make you love them again!!
Take Care, Laura Lee

Weekend weather!!!

What a great weekend to be in the outdoors! My local drill team (and others) went on a trail ride thru the valley near Clearwater. It was AMAZING!! We had great weather, and wonderful views. Thanks again to Kristi for allowing us to ride thru your pastures, and for making sure I got in a few pictures!

This is just an updated picture of my kitchen. Yup, I broke down and finally painted my cupboards! What do you think? Blog Poll: should I also paint the uppers???
I'll keep you posted on the results of the poll, and future pictures if need be.
Have a great week - sun, keep shining!!!

MIA no more!

Yes, I'll admit I was M-I-A there for the summer, and I appologize. But.... I'm back!!
Here's a little peek at some of the EXTRA things I've done with vinyl over the summer.
I built this barn for Emma last Christmas. How much fun is this????
(I also "pimped out" Tanner's barn, but apparently haven't got a picture of it yet...stay tuned for that one. Two words: John...Deere).
This is another FUN little goodie I popped up in my kitchen. It happened to be a day that I was spending a lot of time at my sink doing apples for the freezer. Let me tell you, it made the job more enjoyable. Oh, now the ideas are endless!!!
We are back into our regularily scheduled life. Harvest is near-done, and the kids are back to school. If you are allowed to make "September resolutions", mine is to post more often. There will be a little game about that later.... Well, enjoy your day, the sun is trying to shine. I'll leave you will a picture of our first day back to school!!!

Take Care, Laura Lee

New vinyl designs and colors!!!

A few weekends back I was in Brandon for the Scrapbookers Charity Convention, and had a BLAST!! In prep for the weekend, I designed some new vinyl pages. Some vinyl sheets come in 12x12, while others come in 6x12, and you can choose from lots of different colors (see picture at the end).

1. Frames and more (12x12) - shown in black
2. Trees, branches and birds (12x12) - shown in chocolate brown

3. Brackets and emotions (12x12) - shown in cranberry

4. Love words (12x12) - shown in silver...very nice!!

5. Girl words (12x12) - shown in light purple

6. Boy words (12x12) - shown in grass green
The following are all 6x12 sheets, however some photos may look like they are 12x12 (due to 2 colors being together on a picture).

7. Family words (6x12) - shown in terracotta

8. (top) Birds and swirls (6x12) - shown in hot pink
(bottom) Butterflies (6x12) - shown in white ...very classy and versatile!!

9. (top) Dandelions (6x12) - shown in olive green (picture unfortunately doesn't do color justice)
(bottom) Brackets (6x12) - shown in orange
10. (top) Funky stuff (6x12) - shown in teal
(bottom) Sun and shapes (6x12) - shown in signal yellow

And here.... are the colors! I will try to get better photos of the color choices in the next little while. However, if you are interested in a certain color, I can let you know if it is available, or what I have in comparison. But, we scrappers like LOTS of color, so I'm sure there is something here that sparks your interest!

Vinyl sheets are available now for mailing out to you. 12x12 design sheets (as above) are $13 per sheet, and 6x12 design sheets are $7 per sheet. If mailing, there is a $2 additional fee, but no mailing fee on orders over $30. Email harmsk1@mts.net to place orders, or call (204) 529-2605.

Happy shopping and playing,

Laura Lee
